Here are some links to free patterns available on the internet that you might find useful.  Please respect the copyright of the designers and only use the patterns for personal or charity purposes. 

THE KAS PATTERN BOOK Here you will find knitting and crochet patterns for squares, toys and various items of clothing. Please note that Knit-a-Square, South Africa is now only requesting blankets, 8 inch blanket squares, hats, hand warmers and toys.
RAY OF HOPE A number of patterns (mostly knitting) for premature babies. This is a UK site so the few crochet patterns available here are written in UK terminology. The pattern page does not appear to have been updated since 2009 so some of the links may be broken.
BEV'S COUNTRY COTTAGE No pattern links page would be complete without reference to Bev's Country Cottage. A US site with links to many patterns for premature baby clothes as well as helpful size charts, hook and needle conversion charts (US to UK) and much more besides
